Mpg?
Hey there to all...
My daughter and I took our first long trip in her 2000 A4 Q (with around 115,000 miles), from Central CA to Oregan. We endured tons of heavy rain and even snow flurries but this vehicle stayed planted quite well without any scary occurences.
We got around 25-26 mpg which i though was pretty decent. we averaged between 75-85 mph despite being quite cautious due to heavy CHP enforcement on the highways; and at one point opened her up to 110 mph just to check it out. It felt really good and stable and I'm sure had plenty more. I really don't know the top speed of these little fellows??
This A4 cruises very smoothly around those speeds though.
Very happy with its ride and comfort.
Just thought I'd share and ask what MPG you guys get and if what we got seems reasonable.

The driver who always takes care to not exceed the speed limit and makes use of his brakes every time he finds himself going 67MPH in a 65MPH zone might be called a good, careful driver by some. I would call such a driver a sheep who can't think for himself.

Yeah I know that speed requires common sense. But how many think they're "good" drivers? 98% of the people but half of them driving at that speed are idiots and end up wrapped around a pole or worse, injuring the minivan next to them full of kids. My question is unanswered, is he a cop? Because I usually won't call out an average joe for pulling stunts since we all do stupid crap, just trying to decipher this message.

I've got about 30-32 mpg on a long trip on flat(ish) roads. To and from Vail is about 200 miles round trip from my house and I'll get about 25 mpg on that run, thats with using lots of boost on the long uphill sections. The difference for you may be the 2.8 vs. the 1.8T.
Nice Pelican Blue, I really like that color.
