Default Motor Pull

So Ive been at it for about a day and all necessary connectors and vacuum lines are disconnected and it looks like its ready for the motor to be pulled but i cant get to some of the tranny bolts where it connects to the block. I was wondering if anyone could give me some tips on this. And i was also wondering if its necessary to pull the sub frame to get the job done? I need to pull the tranny also and was just wondering what the best way to go about all of this would be?? Any helps appreciated!

Thanks
Zach

Im pretty sure its a 1.8t. You dont have to pull the subframe. Ive heard that its easier to pull it with the tranny because later it will be really hard to align the motor with the tranny.

Which bolts are giving you trouble? If it's the bottom ones that are blocked by the subframe, you can jack the motor up (loosen motor mounts), then you can get them from the front with a long extension or two.

I'm just paranoid, but make sure you don't get yourself under the motor where it could hurt you. I always assume the chain/jack/whatever could let go at any moment.

Theres 4 or 5 bolts that you can get from reaching your arm on the top of the motor. The rest do as 4bagels said above. Just jack up the engine and you can get them.

Ya i got that part but if you are facing the car on the bottom right of the tranny there is a bolt with a nut and you cant get at either end with a socket or a wrench.. the bell housing is to close to the head and nut.
