Missing ABS sensor - can I drive?

Missing ABS sensor - can I drive?
Broke the rear right sensor when trying to remove.
While waiting for a replacement sensor (that hopefully fits), can I get an alignment done and drive the car?
Or, will I have to take the rear hub apart again and need alignment to install the new sensor (currently, the 'copper sleeve' is still in the hole; not sure if a new/used sensor will come with it).
What is the car doing (aside from ABS and Brake dash lights on) with the sensor missing?

When I had something similar happen, I decided to pull the ABS fuse. The reason being that when I braked, the car would brake funny and sort of steer the car when I braked. After I braked enough it would figure out there was a problem and turn on the ABS light, but it took a few times. If your ABS light is on all the time than I wouldnt worry about it, otherwise I would suggest pulling you fuse in the meantime (which will cause a flashing brake light combo btw).

I was told i had to replace my right rear ABS/Speed sensor. How do i know which one is actually bad. I rather not replace something that doesnt need to be replaced. My Speedo works fine, just got the dreaded ABS light. Also, im not extremely familiar with Audi's.... Whats the easiest way to take it out?

I replaced the broken sensor (right left), this one is working.
But (likely from wiggeling/turning to get them out), the front left is causing the fault. I tried to push it further in (at one point could hear the sensor touching the teeth, so move out a bit).
Is there an electrical check that I can do to see if I messed up the sensor/wires itself, or if it is a matter of positioning (gap)?
Also: still have not find good instructions to remove sensor (last one needed drilling out). Is the sheet metal 'cage' supposed to stay in the hub and the sensor pulls out? Or both?
What is the best method? Unplug sensor cable, then turn+pull? Leverage with tire iron/screw driver?

if you have vag com, you can check the impulses on each sensor while driving. you can easily tell if one of them is showing numbers way off than the others.
as far as removing them goes, there's not much you can do. it's 2 different metals in contact and over time, they eventually fuse together

I tried just about everything but drilling out my right rear ABS sensor. PB Penetraing Spray(its been there for 12 years), Oil(figured it might slide out), Turning, Twisting, Prying, Banging. I even tried talking dirty to her hoping to coax her out. I must be doing something wrong. I prefer not to drill as the potential of ruining something and not being able to get the new one in. Anybody with more ideas?
I destroyed one totally (ripped it off, had to drill out) and one partially (now error code on this one) when trying to turn the sensor to get it out (turns out its just the top with the cables/wires turning, the rest is stock solid).
I had the hub out, so drilling wasn't so much of a problem (drilled a bit smaller certainly, and had almost the entire sheetmetal cage still intakt).
But with the hub on, I wouldn't dare the drilling.

Replace ABS sensor front left
Make sure to let me know if you ever get a good tip.

Need good advise how to go about replacing this one now. Preferably without taking the hub off.
If the hub has to come off: is alignment needed again?
