any incident is a lot in my eyes lol, especially those 2 you mentioned. looks like an underbelly pan will do you some good josh. it won't help the from valence situation but judging by the way they plow there it's a good idea you get one or make one yourself. i hope your fmic is ok though.

I was following a friend through a field with my a4, he has a 2003 S-10 with lift and big tires, some how I lost both of my front grill inserts. There was about a foot or more of snow that I was going through no problem but in the morning I did realize that I had snow packed under my belly pan from backing up in the field and found that I was missing my grill insearts. It took me a minute to realize why my front bumper looked weird. Guess I have to wait until spring to find them.
