is that hard to change?? and is there any guys here with a4 from detroit

 

Really? Your clutch fan only makes noise in 1st and 2nd... and sometimes Neutral?

 

yeah like im driving a bus....secondly is there a plug or sensor that plugs into the coolant reservoir underneath it?

 

The reason you only hear it in first or second is because the fans having to pull all that air through a condenser and radiator, so theres a lot of wind resistance. Once you get some speed though, it ends up pushing air through and making the fan not effective. If you want to test it, go grab the fan (when the cars off obviously) and give it a spin. If is has some resistance, your good. If it wont move, then you need a new fan. They are easy to change, all you need is a torx bit and a strong rod/screw/wedge
