A new muffler is on my to do list and I came across this does anybody have this on there 2.8, I think it sounds great. There are more videos on youtube with the 2.8 platform and this muffler so I don't think it is just this one just want to make sure. Thanks it is a magnaflow 14862

if you go that route i would highly recommend leaving your mid muffler (resonator) , or buying a resonator along with this because all custom exhausts will drone hardcore anytime cruising over like 50... trust me i have a lot of experience with this and the first week you wont mind it and think its not soo bad... but after that you wish you would have done it right the first time... so go with that muffler its great and sounds awesome but get it resonated please and save yourself some headache... unless yourplanning on getting a S/C sometime in the near future and are strickly looking for better flow/performance!

my exhaust is shot and hopefully will last the winter, I've called around and most local shops will do the whole exhaust for the same price, only it'll be the crush bent, aluminum Meineke special.......hope it sounds decent.

 

I hate the resonator. I have a Thrush welded muffler waiting in the trunk for my car.

 

Holy bucks man $$$, I supplied my muffler and tip and midas charged me $130 to go from dual to single. So not to bad. I have a very shitty exhaust on, it looks like *** but I get a back fire noise bad in second gear decelerating and sounds really gehhhy. Otherwise it sounds good accelerating but the single 3-1/2" tip is to ricey for me. And thats not the direction I wanna take. BTW everyone i am happy to say I picked up some pre-face lift tails today and painted all my mesh black, going to take out my "other" tails tomorrow and throw them off a bridge. Next I will be selling my 18" rims and tires to buy S4 side skirts and oem rear bumper trim/valence.

 

if there was an exhaust that had the sound od magnaflow but the look of stock... it would be awesome, i would jump all over it
