lowering the B5

Kits are generally less expensive than buying piece by piece. Also, I was just looking at the V-maxx coilovers. They are $550 now, fyi, which would probably be your best bang for your buck. Here's a link:

They have a pic of a B5 as low as it will go. If you're looking to go lower, well, I don't know what to tell you, except to PM aledelic- his ride was slammed so low I don't know how he even drove the dame thing.

Do the brakes now, then save the money you would have spent on springs and get the vmaxx in a couple months for cheaper than shocks alone.
Of course, it's up to you. NeuSpeed and H&R make springs with about a 2 inch drop. I think they're about 200 bucks.

race springs don't fit fwd cars. i have a fwd, and i bought vogtland coils. they're coming in the mail in about 3 weeks. the closest u can get to a drop around 2" is to get h&r sports/ bilstein shocks setup which drops it around 1.5-2.0 inches...closer to 1.5 inches. im running 17's so i wanted a decent 2" drop. coils are the way to go, considering they cost about the same as getting ur stock springs/ shocks replaced.
