Low oil pressure light, misfire, and slippage on 1.8
Recently on my 2000 audi a4 1.8t my low oil pressure light starts to come on after about 40 minutes of driving. It comes on for about a minute or two, then goes off for a few minutes, then back on again, and so on. I have the correct amount of oil in my car so I was wondering I am starting to loose oil pressure after about 40 minutes of driving or if it is a faulty light? Also around the same time my car had started to drive choppy, like its misfiring after I apply a certain amount of acceleration. It feels like a spark plug is out, but I took them all out and they appeared to be in good condition besides a little bit of oil around the top that I wiped off, they are only about 3 months old. I was thinking maybe the ignition coil packs? but I have no idea to tell if they are bad or not. And also around this time I started to experience some slippage in my clutch, my engine starts to move faster then my car is responding. It usually only happens sometimes in 4th or 5th gear if I accelerate a decent amount. Besides that the clutch still drives great and I believe only has around 25k on it, so I would assume that my clutch is not going out. I would appreciate any advice from anyone with knowledge on any of my car troubles.

Well you should scan the ecu first and see which cylinder(s) are misfiring. Do you get a flashing cel?
Low oil pressure could be anything from a bad oil pump, clogged oil pickup screen, sludge, valve cover gasket/spark plug gasket, oil pan gasket... and so on. You could install an oil pressure gauge and see if you really have low oil pressure, or it's just faulty wiring / bad oil pressure switch.
If you have oil at the spark plugs then you should replace your valve cover and the o ring gasket around the plugs. Do you have any oil around the valve cover?

I am not getting any check engine lights on, so I didn't think any codes would come up, and as for the low oil pressure, I took it to an import shop and they said I was loosing oil pressure after the car has been on for about 3 minutes, and they said they are going to try and replace the oil pick up screen tube, and if that doesn't do it then I probably am going to have to get a new engine. I really hope the pick up screen tube fixes it.
