low oil pressure?
After installing my FMIC and getting it to run properly, my oil pressure light came on -- I didn't realize this until I had driven about 3-4 miles though [&:]
What could be causing this (besides the low oil pressure)? I've driven 2,837 miles since my last oil change, and I'm using Mobil 1 5W-30 synthetic oil. Do you guys think it's safe if I pour a little bit more oil in, then drive to a shop to have them take a look at it? The shop is about ~4 miles from my house... I don't want to take a chance with that light on, considering I don't have that much money right now

HAHA oh man... One thing after another now! Don't you hate that??? Check your oil level and see what it says. If it's normal I would go ahead and seafoam your car and see if any sludge comes out. Hopefully you don't have a sludge problem because that would really suck. It also could be a bad sensor.

I was hoping it was a bad sensor, considering I've driven 2,873 miles before my last change of Mobil 1 5w-30 synthetic oil.
I don't know if I can find some seafoam around here, hopefully the local Schmucks has it.

Yeah that will work. Thats where I did mine. You also want to put the seafoam in the crank case (half the bottle) and maybe drive it around? I am not sure though if that would be a good idea. Umm.... anyone else want to chime in on this one?

RE: low oil pressure?
I think this is a result of when I was running rich, after the turbo outlet hose blew off, remember?
I'm going to do this via the AZ DIY, and just do the intake/FPR, that way I can be sure I'm cleaning it out properly. If it still comes up, I don't know man...

RE: low oil pressure?
The problem is if you only do the intake you will not actually be cleaning out the oil system in the car. The intake will only clean your intake mani and the top parts of your valves. Your oil pressure light is due to something inside the engine where all your oil is. You have to put the seafoam in there to help loosen all the crap up thats gotten built up inside.
