Default Low coolant buzzer going on and off, not leaking.

My low coolant buzzer and warning light keeps going off i'd say every 10 minutes depending if i'm going up or down hills. The coolant is not leaking and there is plenty of coolant.

Is this just a loose wire or a bad sensor? The damn buzzer is annoying. It would be fine if it always reads low coolant but it keeps switching back and forth.

sensor is middle buttom of the coolant tank. 3 screws holds the tank. remote it and clean and make sure the connection is tight. maybe cable loose or something.

czwalga...how did you resolve this issue with the coolant warning light? Did you clean the sensor, replace the coolant tank, or something else? Mine goes off if I'm going downhill or if I've parked it downhill then goes away for a while. '02 A6 3.0 Quattro

I did ask Christ Almighty about this first but got impatient so I came here to audiforums...the next best thing

Maybe I'm wrong, but I assume the old posts are still available to view for a reason. Which is worse: "digging" to find an answer or asking a question that's already been posted by others? Also assumed that coolant issues would be similar between A4's & A6's or B5's & C5's, etc. so when I went thread digging I didn't specify what section to dig in. Finally, I asked my question because if czwalga was able to spend a few minutes and $0 to fix it, I'd probably give that a shot, although what might take you 15 minutes would probably take me several hours because I'm no audi tech.

Whats stupid is you're directing a question at a member that hasn't logged on in more than a year how he fixed it........
