Default low boost giac x tune 01.5 a4 awm????

Hey guys fairly new to a4 scene but I've been searching for hours and can't pulls anything up on the awm. I just installed a new 710n dv and giac x ecu for my 2001.5. And in first and second I'm only boosting 10 psi I might spike to 11-12 but a solid 10 . But if I'm lower in my gears in 3rd thru 5th and get on it I spike at 22 and hold 20. But if I drop gear pull I'll spike maybe to 15-16 and hold solid at 10. I really don't get it from what I've checked I have no boost or vaccum leaks. And vaccum is were it should be on my boost gauge at idle or cruising. I know should get more boost through all my gears. So does anyone know what the culprit could be????

Also when installing the dv that the guy said was a 710n I noticed the last numbers on the div were 710 c is there really that much of a difference or are they really the same valve?

Sorry man, didn't see this thread until just now.

710c is the part number for the stock DV, and there is a big difference between that and the 710n. I don't know much about the GIAC x tune or how much boost it should be producing, but it's common to make more boost in 3rd-5th than first and second. That's why most dyno runs are done in 3rd or 4th gear.

So if the 710 c is actually the a4 stock valve and the 710n is from the tt225. Would that be why I'm not holding the boost that I should be holding? Or does the the 710c have the capabilitiesf holding that much I really just puzzled by this. And if that's the case the guy I bought the valve from said he was sending a 710n when we sent me a 710c so wth u know. And also anyone know about the po170 code I installed my test pipe along with my ecu and now I'm getting this code...?? It slightly vague

The 710n is capable of holding more boost than the stock DV, that's why people recommend it for mildly upgraded cars. 710c is not. Sounds like you got taken for a ride. That could definitely be why you're not holding boost in lower gears, although it seems odd that you would be able to hold higher boost in 3rd-5th. I would try replacing the DV and see if that helps.

P0170 is a primary O2 sensor code if I'm not mistaken, is yours original?

Yea i believe I did bc the guy said it was a tt225 710n dv when its a 710c. And about the o2 sensor it prob is the original but I was wondering about if I need to replace it . But I also vaguely of people saying that that code is about fuel trim but no one goes in detail about it

First of all, have you done a boost leak check?

I've inspected hoses and lines but it doesn't look yo have any leaks. But no I haven't done a test just yet. I know before the car was chipped it held solid 10 psi in all gears but now it peak I whatever it wants then drops to 10 psi and some times stutters back and forward to were it will drop about 5 psi and then go back up to 10 psi or whatever it was holding at. Could that be a boost leak, maybe bad n75? Or the po170 code ? It all puzzles me

Also could it be that I'm using a 710c valve insteadof a 710n . And also what's the easiest way to boost leak test these cars? I've only had to do this on my supra and I'm sure I. That
i was a whole lot easier than the a4 lol
