not sure about AC but loosing boost are known issues on these cars, had same problem in past, could not tshoot until I got boost gauge. Possible boost leak, check Vac lines. Do you hear any hissing sound while full throttle?

you need a boost gauge to troubleshoot boost issues. you dont even know for certain that you are loosing boost. the torque spike on the k03 is in the mid 3000's so once that huge spike levels off it may feel like you have no power past 4k rpm just because its smooth, and because you dont even have a chip.

what is it before 4k? how much vacuum do you see at idle? you probably have a leak.
