Default loose metalic sound when driving HELP!!plzzz

MANUAL- AEB BLOCK - SILVER - QUATTRO -1.8T
milage- 240,000 runs like a champ, had sludge current ongoing battle with seafoam 30 mile before my 3 month full synthetic oil change with mobile 1 high preformance gold oil and mobile 1 filter element.

*********so the noise happens when ur moving. but its not instant it sounds like a loose heat shield but its not i know its not . when i press my clutch in or if i put it in nuetural its a "rattle" noise very VERY annoying loud sometimes quiet at others .. however when i shift gears and release the clutch ul hear a clank if i do it fast as if the drive shaft connecting to the rear axel is loose???

THIS COULD BE 2 SEPERATE ISSUES?????

my mechanic said he has no idea he mentioned the following
--plastic bushings
--rear differential going out maybe
--loose part
--more than 1 problem
--cv joint for center propeler shaft
---- last possibility is something we havent thought of yet .
PLEASEEE HELP we do know i had this noise before i changed my exhaust out howeverr my mechanic re did my whole exhaust chrome tip and all for 120$ welded it and all

my moneys on your catalytic convertor or your dual mass flywheel

when your car cools down bang on both your cats to see if you hear anything if so thats ure problem, the fact that you hear it when engaging the clutch points me in the direction of the flywheel tho.

your mechanic could have put in a smaller flex pipe while redoing your exhaust thats what happened with mine. blew my cat out twice

Default interesting.

the catalytic converter wouldnt explain why the noise comes from the rear and only while in motion tho would it ? some guy did say my wastegate flap maybe ? i do have a overboost code. idk if that means anything? but idk and it happens when the car is out of gear basicaly!!!! clutch in or in nuetral cruising? thank you for your reply much appriciated! i called audi they said they would diagnose it for 139$ i laughed said you want to charge me to "DIAGNOSE" a problem that your shity engineering made ? no thanks

i really think it could be the rear differential apparently there is bushings like "mounts" that go bad causeing clanking witht the same description i gave also if its leaking oil! it makes clanking space between teeth on gears.. or if the internals are messed up
