Thanks everyone for there input the timming belt did end up being thrown in to the purchase and the only think proformance wise i would do is probally Chip Exhaust (Maganflow) and an Intake gonna look in the noob thread for what chip and intake to buy actually wouldnt mind doing a front mount if possible on the 2.8's

front mount is to cool intake air from a turbo... you'll not be needing one.
Also, performance is not really an option, so save the money from the chip and look into lowering your car and a nice set of wheels. the exhaust and intake will make your car sound more agressive, but expect little in the way of performance numbers.

Yes Connor, there will be few options that will allow your 30V V6 to hang with even slightly modded V4's. sorry to say but the only boost the 30V likes its from a PES Supercharger that will only spit about 7psi max.

Ok it may look clean in pix but deff needs some touch up paint (thank god for the detailing looked a little worse)

Hey man,
I'm in the Manchester area and also just picked up a 1997 A4 2.8Q in December. I love the car be prepared to be hated on for having a 12v 2.8 but it's really not a bad engine. It's reliable and I don't need any extra speed to help me get in trouble.
How many miles on it? Did you get it from Mike's Imports?
Hope you like it.
Brian
EDIT: For some reason, the forum won't let me do a single apostrophe, lol.

Nah, I just know of his place. I occasionally stop by there to see whatcars areon the lot. Before I bought my car, I looked into another 97 A4 owned by a guy who had bought it from Mike's.
