Default Looking Into buying a 1997 Audi A4 2.8 Quattro

I was just wondering how long untill they start showing there age (problems). Anything I should check before the purchase?

I just bought that exact model and i love it.really there isnt anything else to check out other than you would a normal car.

Check For:

Timing belt replacement (should be ~every 70k miles)
upper and lower control arms
ABS module/ sensors
sunroof opens and closes per controls (faulty/dirty switch)

these are just the common things that come to me off the top of my head. Best of luck on the purchase!

Well i am the HAPPY owner of an Audi A4 2.8 Quattro... Indeed the timming belt needs to be done.... That is most likly coming thrown in with the purchase =D

It's an 11-12 year old car depending on the build date. I would say it would be showing some "age" Remember, you have prettymuch zero options when it comes to modding the car for more power..........

my first audi was a 96 2.8 and it had 112k miles on it when my friend totalled it and it was running incredibly strong, nothing wrong AT ALL!
