Looking to buy B5 a4 is it a good car?
I'm new to Audi cars but I'm considering buying one. I currently drive a 92 legend with 220k and I think its time to get something else. I'm looking to get a b5 audi or a late e36 bmw. I'm looking for something that is pretty quick and reliable as my legend isn't horribly slow but its pretty reliable so I want a car thats at least as good as my legend or better. Anyone whos owned a legend or anyone that can help me decide. I checked out the newbie guide so I know audis are respectable cars but how do they compare to my legend and the e36s?

If you find a well cared for Legend, Audi, or BMW, it will likely be reliable (to some extent...).

Yeah I should have read the faq first I just thought I could get some input from anyone on the site who has owned a car like mine or a bmw and now owns an Audi. Probably should have reworded my question didn't mean to set anyone off.

Get one. Make sure everything that is timing related has been done or be prepared tO do it yourself for a big dollar. Before you buy ANY car; research is very important. Don't get fucked like I did. Read up, save yourself a shItload of heartache.

**** an e36. When I lived back in nj my buddy drove one. I had a 98 b5 and I think his was 97 e36? Anyways, he spent a ton of money getting **** fixed on it , plus it eventuallt got rust. Soobys are good but I don't think their Awd can compare. It really all depends on the maintenance records for each car.
