Default Looking At A A4 V6

Hey,

I am new to Audi and have always loved the B5 A4.

How reliable is the V6 model? I am looking at one right now, V6, manual tranny, pretty clean. I want it as a daily driver. Are there any mods for the V6's?

Also what companies sell aftermarket parts for these cars?

Thanks!

Simon

v6 is most reliable of the two engines, but there are really no mods that are worth spending your money on for performance... exhaust if you want the note... but the 1.8t 4 cylinder is quite moddifiable as many of the guys in this section will say... good luck and make sure you check the maintenance records

the v6 is more reliable than the 1.8t.the only mod youll get any power from with the v6is a supercharger that will probably be around $4,500. what year is it? if its the 12v you pretty screw as far as finding any aftermarket parts. i have a 30v v6 with exhaust and as far as a DD goes its fine

well since he said he wants it as a DD, I think a V6 would work, just make sure to get the 30v (1998+) so you don't have a slow 12v like me

Yea I like the car i bought but I am considering buying a 1.8t model also but in the wagon style, You shouldnt mod a "DD", if you have 2 or more rides it would be safer but gambling with the ride to work..... Not for me, keep the 2.8 stock, buy a 1.8t and mod the shiiot out of it in the garage..
