Looking at A4 to buy
I found this A4 on craigslist and wanted to know if it was a 99.5 or 99.
Also does it seem to be a good deal?
Here are the details:
I'm selling my 1999 Audi A4 Quattro 1.8t, 5spd with 94k miles. This car comes with black exterior and nice gray leather interior, power windows, power door locks, power mirrors, cruise, abs, 6 disk CD changer w/ premium sound from BOSE am/fm cass, Auto climate control/AC is Cold!, Sunroof, dual front and side airbags, tint, and Xenon Headlights w/ fog. This car has clean title, been well maintained in and out, never been smoked in and garaged, it also runs quiet and smooth. Oil services done every 3k miles. Gets close to 22mpg city and 28mpg highway. Asking $7500 or best offer.
Here are the pictures.

Rear A4 and 1.8T emblems are our of place. This either means the last owner debaged and then rebadged or it's been in a rear end collision
Should be on the outside like this, not in the middle LIKE THIS PICTURE

Well i wouldn't give up on it just like that, like akielb said the guy may have just debadged it and then done a shitty job putting them back on when he decided to sell it. If you don't mind spendin the $20 you could do a carfax on it. Also, take up the carpet and **** in the trunk, peek under the fenders, around the lower moldings... look for overspray. If it was in an accident, and the shop that did the work did that poor of a job putting the badges back on, its a good bet there's overspray someplace to indicate the body work.
