Default look what i did with 2,100 dollars

well i got my tax return and i spent some ofit on some much needed and wanted parts for my audi.

i got a complete control arm kit, bilstein shocks front and rear, neuspeed sway bars front and rear, perrin sway arm The "C" lookingone, atp fuel rail and adapter, tt carriers, zimmerman crossdrilled rotors, hi quailty silicone hose, misc gaskets and "o" rings, and a new raditor fan switch.

some need to be replaced and others are just because i wanted to. i think there are a couple more things but i can't rember, now i just got to install it all which im sure is going to be fun.

nice, in the last month I have had to put 4k in the car just for maintenance, the only thing that was performance on the whole list was a snub mount...lol

I get to do my front upper control arms this weekend!

Sounds like my situation, don't you ever wonder if it isn't cheaper to buy a new car instead?

I sure do... I'm just way too deep into fixing this one that there is no point giving it away for someone else to enjoy my new parts.

I find myselfsaying something similar to that every time I put some money into my car. I've just gotta get it they way I really like it now so when I can afford to trade up in a couple of years, I won't want to.

Looking forward to seeing some pictures.

Hey quatroa4 I think I need to replace my control arms too. Think you could post some pics as you do it
or wanna chat as you prepare to do them? By the way are you replacing them because your steering veers randomly or is loose?

I'll take some pics when we're changing out his control arms... here's a great DIY I used when I changed mine.

Do you have any specific questions I can answer for you?

I had already made a thread about it earlier, but just wanted to comment since you guys are talking about probably
the same issue I am having. I saw that DIY it looks great, but I'm just a newbie who is probably going to get his hands
dirty for the first time. I'll be jacking the car up to do the idiot test this weekend. From a visual inspection the arms and boot looks good.
Who knows...

My earlier thread is here:

dude, my breaks were a breeze, the rotors and pads took me about 45 minutes...but it took me a while to get the ecs brake tool to work, I had to cut it because it is a sorta shitty design...the material is nice quality, and the carrying case is pretty snazzy, but it wouldn't "sit" into the calipper, after my modifications it worked perfectly!
