so again here i am and i have my car finally running, I found all my vacuum hoses were shot so i am replacing them tomorrow. but when i did have it running i heard this loud screaming bad noise coming from the area with my turbo. Listen and tell me if you think my turbo is bad...

that doesn't shound good....is the turbo even spoolin?

 

not too sure if it is. how should i check that? i dont have a boost guage...

 

well since you parted out the whole front bumper, takeout the turbo and take a look at it. besides that i wouldnt even start the car, if your turbo is blown, dont want any pieces flying in the engine

 

I don't know anything, but if I had to imagine what play in the shaft sounded like, I would guess it would be alot like that; both the running and the squealing.

 

Sounds like some metal on metal action to me.
