You can have couple of hands!

With the stock radio (Audi Symphony) I have, I could turn on the radio even without the key in the ignition.

like him^^^ i can just hit the power button on my stock radio and it works however i believe you will not be able to use that function on your aftermarket radio (regardless of whether it existed in your stock radio or not). the wiring harness used to hook up the aftermarket radio uses two wires for power. a constant twelve volt for radio memory and an ignition twelve volt which gives power to the radio only when the ignition is in te on position. i believe stock harness has another wire for a different power source which is able to be activated with the radio power button and the aftermarket wiring harness does not include this wire.
