Default Lightweight crank pulley, worth it?

i gunna be changing my timing belt soon and i saw that ecs has a timing kit with a lightweight pulley in it for like 50 bucks more. do they really free up enough hp to feel? and would it b worth doing since theres going to be work done in that area

Light weight crank pulley is highly contraversal. Some say it throws the crank off balance which would be bad for the main bearings, but idk for sure. Personally I'd skip it and if you really want to free up some rotational mass get a lwfw if you have a manual. Of course thats not as easy as and cheap as a pulley bolt on.

yea ive heard if you remove the harmonic balancer on the stock pully bad things happen. never hears someone say specificly "i installed a LW pully and it destroyed my engine" but i can see the validity in the argument. vibration of the crank = bad for bearings.
