Hey all,

A friend of mine just bought a 2001 A4 2.8l. I was helping him get his licence plate on but the screws all spin in place. and there is no hardware on 2 of the slots. It seems as though the people he bought it from just ripped their licence plate off. Any help is much Appreciated.

Back. on the trunk lid.

 

When I picked up my car the license plate would not come off no matter how hard we tried. We did end up having to rip the old one off but I was able to JB weld one of the lower nuts to the top and I only ever use the top 2 anyways. My guess is you might be better off sourcing a used one though. They probably did rip it off because the bolt was rust or something though.
