Let's see those engine bays

Don't know why my pics got auto resized so small, never seen that happen before. *Shrug

I think that's a new formatting thing with vBulletin. They've been doing it on Audizine for as long as I can remember, just not quite as small. It's to keep people from embedding 1600x1200px pictures and ******* up the CSS on the rest of the page.

What did you use to coat your VC? I'm trying to decide the route I want to go with mine. Was considering looking into powder coating it a matte/krinkle blue close to my paint color.

I completely love that sandy yellow/brown valve cover, plus the chrome intakes. Wanted to do chrome but couldn't figure out how so went cheap and painted it ford red. The carbonio intake is not worth 400$. Bought mine used like the other guy, it just looks cool and makes a cool noise (diverter valve). I wanted to build a heat shield wall thing like you guys have but again no tutorial and I didn't want to mess it up. Heatshields are baller looking in my opinion I like the black and blue engine bay a ton but not sure how i feel about mr. greens, still cool. More Pics!!!

Not chrome, polished. The intake mani, valve cover, throttle body, and many other parts on these cars are cast aluminum and prime candidates for polishing. It's a pain in the dick and requires lots of attention to keep it looking nice, but when it looks nice it looks NIIIIIICE

Jon, I may have to hit you up about that powder coating.
I've been working on mine since 2010 (I was out of the country for almost a year so I blame it on that.)
I'm almost done, I've got all the parts to do the swap. I just need to figure out how I'm finishing it...I think I'm going to get it beadblasted to even out the finish. I'd prefer more of a brushed aluminum finish or even something very close to what I've got right now. I don't want a mirror polish.

Kind of what I'm going to shoot for. I just want to get rid of all of the ugly casting marks and seams and random posts and bolt holes that I don't need anymore. Clean things up a little.
