Default Left turn signal wire HELP

Hello everyone, my left turn signal light went out a couple of days ago, so i bought a bulb to replace it, upon taking it out of turn signal housing i couldn't take out the bulb out of the gray housing it appears that the previous owner had put super glue or something to make sure it doesn't get lose, i got some acetone and after messing around with was finally able to get it out but the it wouldn't work when i put in the new bulb even after cleaning, now the real problem im having is i cant disconnect the gray plastic housing piece from the black connector piece that it is connected to the car, i think some super glew got in there i tried applying acetone but it aint working, any ideas, im thinking i might have to go to the junk yard and just try to find the wire and cut it with black plastic piece on it and then rewire it on to my car or ma7be try to go to the dealer I got a 1999 audi a4 1.8t
thanks

check to see if you're getting power to the harness but cutting and splicing is one of the easiest ways for now
