try sears in the automobile section autozone pepboys. Btw you can check the throttle body alignment too! that may be the acceleration problem.

there is this garage in Rockville Md they deal with foreign car i can tell you they are the best way to go. they are called Pro Imports.com ask for Patrick they slightly pricey but cheaper than the dealer and they know what they are doing for $99.00 they will do a full diagnostics and tell you every single thing wrong with your car. some of the simple jobs i do by myself other complicated ones that require professional attention i have done them do it. That how i save money on my jobs. i have owned 2 VW Jetta's, 1 Volvo S60 t5's and 2 Audi A4's believe me they are good

Who told you that its only boosting 5 pounds? That means your in limp and explains the slowness. As for the squealing, your ac belt could be too tight, too loose, or just needs to be replaced.

I love hearing other people's opinions on "fast cars".

People have been in my 2.8 and commented on how "fast it is".

I lol.

Anyway, you're a girl in an Avant, which is awesome. I offer no help however!

Honestly, a Geo Metro would give a perfectly sound stock 1.8t a run for it's money. Stock 1.8t is slow in an unacceptable way. Get the thing chipped already! 5-8lbs of boost is normal for stock. A chip brings it to 15-20psi, which is well within the safe limits of the engine/turbo. Tons of people have been chipped for tens and tens of thousands of miles with no turbo/engine failures.

I don't know how close you are to this place, but it's in MD:
APR Chip Dealer
