L and R brake light problems. 3rd is good.
Ok so I thought I had a brake light burn out a few months ago. I got a beep and the yellow sign that says brake lights came up and stayed whenever I pressed the brake pedal for the first time after starting.
Today I go to replace the bulb and not only do I notice that now both L and R brake lights are out, the new bulbs aren't working.
I try a blinker bulb that is working, and it doesn't work in the brake light either. I then try the 'old' brake lights in the turn signal and they work fine! So all bulbs are working. Something is wrong in the wiring to the L and R brake lights only.
3rd brake light still works.
What could the problem be? I checked fuses and they are good.
All other lights work.
Thanks!!

Ok I've been searching and I saw a guy with a 2003 Allroad have the same problems as me.
Brake switch was mentioned even though the OP said Audi told him the brake switch wasn't at fault since the 3rd is still working when the pedal is pushed.
But then someone again said he has seen it many times. 3rd brake light still works, but the L and R don't. It's the brake switch.
Anyone tend to agree with that?

Should I test the brake light pins on the connectors to the bulb panel?
I'm assuming the bulb panel is working fine. I doubt that only the brake section would fail on both, leaving the other sections operating properly.
