Default Knocking noise after timing belt change

Had the timing belt/water pump/tensioner/rollers changed on my 97 2.8 over the weekend and now it's making a knocking sound after it's warmed up a little...on cold start the engine is smooth and no irregular noises, but if I turn the car off and let it sit for about 15-20 minutes, then turn it back on, I get a knocking sound (closest sound I can think of is a woodpecker) that does go away after driving around a good 10+ minutes. Sounds like it's coming from the front part of the engine.

...any ideas?...screwed up timing belt replacement?...covers loose?

hey, i actually have the same exact issue, first i thought it was my idler pulley which had a bearing that was not so good and it was wobbling side to side a little. then i changed it and it didnt go away.

did you ever figure out what it was from? i get the sound when i press on the gas

please let me know what you found out

Thanks a lot
