Knocking noise after timing belt change
Had the timing belt/water pump/tensioner/rollers changed on my 97 2.8 over the weekend and now it's making a knocking sound after it's warmed up a little...on cold start the engine is smooth and no irregular noises, but if I turn the car off and let it sit for about 15-20 minutes, then turn it back on, I get a knocking sound (closest sound I can think of is a woodpecker) that does go away after driving around a good 10+ minutes. Sounds like it's coming from the front part of the engine.
...any ideas?...screwed up timing belt replacement?...covers loose?
