well i definately want to get one. my christmas list includes a boost gauge, a chip (havent decided what one yet) and a dv. but i do have one question. i want my boost guage to be in the drivers side air vent. if i get the whole replacement vent and guage, will it work on that vent? i dont know if there are the same size. either that or would i have to get just a guage and custom mount it in that vent?

I mounted mine in the driver side air vent. It was too much of a pain to run it to the center vent. It fits well in that vent and looks good too. I'll show you pics of you'd like.

ok just understood that. i know there isnt anything kick *** about 150hp (however i do believe mine is 170, as per my manual and the newbie forms) but my point is that MY CAR was kickin *** at 6000.

So you own a 2001? Even at 170hp your not going to be making near that power at 6k. If you have a vagcom you can log block 003 and the maf readings will give you an idea of what your power band looks like.
