Default Key's and radio questions

OK, I am in kinda a pickle. It's embarrassing to say, but i lost my keys. I found a place to get blank keys(not from Audi), but how would i get them cut for the ignition?

Next my dumb *** cusin took my radio and put it in his a4 that i can't get too. Will it effect my car? Like the security system?

Yeah. I found a locksmith that can make a key for the car for pretty cheep.

I'm still wondering about the radio's sercurity. Will me not having the radio cause the car not to start?

no. you could run without a radio. the radio might even work if you put it in. just make sure its the same radio.

Be weary of the locksmith, I had a key cut at one that was a reputable locksmith and he ruined the key, and he said he cut them all the time. The Audi dealer will cut the key by the VIN, it has to be ordered. I got some blank keys and the dealer would not cut the key because they claimed because the key was not from Audi it would ruined their key cutter. I had a lot of run around getting new keys made. i have not heard any issues about the radio missing, not sure though.

That is OK. I found an older CD player from an old project. Yeah i know what you mean. I talked to the deal and they wanna charge me an arm an leg for 2 keys. The locksmith i am going too have cut key for a buddy's dad that owns a used car lot that is 99% Audi's and vw's, but i don't know if it would be worth the extra to get the keys from Audi and just take it. Is the cut code for the key the number on the black ring around the ignition?

Not sure on the cut code. I was just told I need the VIN to cut the key.
