Default K04 upgrade

I want to upgrade my turbo to a K04 and was wondering if it is a direct swap or what parts in the engine do i need to chage. chip? anything else? I want to install it myself which i should be able to do it without directions because its pretty straight forward, but if anybody has step by step install directions, please let me know, it probably will make the process quicker.

go to audidiy.com and take a look at the K04 DIY under the B5 section

things you need

Basic K04
turbo
software -GIAC
Upgraded exhuast - with optional Test pipe or HFC

Not sure on your year so not sure if they have an upgraded option for you

turbo
GIAC-X chip
FMIC
Exhast optional Tp or HFC
injectors

might also want to look into a boost gauge as well

From what i understand a new clutch is pretty much mandatory on top of all that other stuff too

That is all you need. Of course you will need an install kit with new bolts and gaskets.

Make sure that when you install and connect the oil feeds, that you turn the car over without starting the car to get oil to the turbo.
