Ok, so I'm looking through my owners manual for my 97 1.8t a4 and I see that my turbo was replace at 117,000miles with a K03 Sport turbo my cars at about 197,000 my turbo im pretty sure is on its way out the door right now and I'm not even sure if that same turbo is in it, But lets say it was in there and it wasn't going out the door right now what kind of horsepower would I be looking at? Everything to my knowledge is stock, besides that turbo "with all new hardware".

And since I think my turbo has seen the last of it's days what would be a good replacement turbo?

 

Nothing is going to happen. You need to get tuned to get more power.

 

K03 or K03s with stock tuning is still going to give you stock power.

 

So 538whp is what you get from the K03s without tuning

Sure will on a car that comes stock with 500whp.

 

I thought the k03s would be more power even without tuning. Isn't that what makes the awm 1.8t like 20hp more?

 

No. Higher boost is.

 

I didn't know that.. My aeb stock tune spiked at 10psi i didn't think it would be higher than that stock with the awm motors
