only $35 and was very easy to install, i would recommend to anyone looking for some HIDs with the stock headlights, the pictures in the description are very accurate compared to the ones i got and am very happy with them, the only modifying i had to do was to the back plate of the headlight housing, i just drilled a hole in it for the HID wires then just placed a grommet in the hole to make a tight seal. I also recommended these to my friend also who has a 2010 scion tc, he got the 8000k and they look amazing, but do stick out alot so i am happy with my 6000k.

 

Did you install those in reflector headlights?

^ Those are reflector lights.

The older Audis don't come with those. The reflectors come with "cut off point", in which when HID is installed, you won't be blinding on coming traffic as you're coming towards them (hence the cut off).

The older twp piece headlights can be seen below. They came on 1999 and below A4's.

just drill a hole large enough (about 1-1.25") to fit the connector through on the center of the cap for the low beam. most HID kits come with a grommet for the connector to see off the hole. make sure the hole is round so the grommet does its job properly

 

I still think the DDM kits are the best, especially since they have lifetime warranty on both the bulbs and the ballast and you can get a 55w kit for $40.00. I have these on my B5, about 2 years and still shining bright!

(Yes, it's worth the 2-3 week wait for the kits as they switch their distribution service to China, just fyi)

 

If regular reflector headlights didn't have cutoff points they would blind everyone in front of you, they'd essentially be high powered flashlights. Projectors have a much sharper cutoff than reflectors, which is why they're required for HIDs. Just a little fyi.
