My brother told the guy he wasn't going to pass because he needed a new exhaust and a new engine actually. Hahaha the guy gives him his car back after the inspection and says "i printed out a pass my bad." and that was that HA. Good job though.

Lol I'm surprised by that - here in NY the readiness codes have to extinguish after a code clear before you'll pass. I was wondering the same as CCA4 about who you had to blow to get the sticker lol. Congrats

Damn and I thought Cali was harder to pass than the rest of the country. As ImTheDevil said, even if you cleared the codes, the readiness tests would have to be fulfilled before the car was allowed to pass. At least that's how it is here in NY which sucks because my buddy has a chipped Civic with a obd1 to obd2 ECU conversion, no cat, full exhaust, and jdm b16 engine with 3 angle valve job and port and polish and cannot pass because of the readiness tests. Congrats though.

i think i have shorts or something, cuz they come on sparratically and then occasionally they shut themselves off so idk lol... either way im not complaining haha.. at 200 a pop for o2 sensors lord knows i wasnt gonna buy them anytime soon (or have the money to afford them)

yeah like ImTheDevil said you need to pass readiness on the ECU in order to pass smog. well since you have a 96 you can pass smog even with 2 readiness codes not passed and i'm pretty sure 6 of the 8 codes gets passed after a pass around the block. the only readiness codes that take time are the 02 sensor ones and the cat
