That is half-true. A normal alignment won't adjust camber. HOWEVER the subframe can be loosened and shifted to shift your camber setting. For example, if your drivers' side camber is -2 deg. and your passengers' side camber is +2 deg., you can shift the subframe so both sides will have 0 deg. of camber.

I can send you an email containing the alignment PDF if you'd like. Soon I'm hoping to find a shop local to me which will perform this type of alignment, and I think you'll have to search for shops that do frame alignment.

****, sounds like a lot of work... would this correct caster as well or would that be due most likely to bend control arms?

I'm not sure if the subframe can be moved forward/backward like it can side-to-side for caster correction. The PDF of alignment I'm sending you doesn't seem to mention it, or perhaps I didn't look hard enough.

I think you're right. I'm all but 100% certain its bent control arms from when I hit a curb last year. Had to replace the spindle cause it was bent and that corrected almost all the problem but the caster is now off... i have the control arms to replace just havent had the time and waited since it doesnt add wear on the tires.

I just looked at the alignment print out from the place I took it to after replacing the spindle and tie rod end... they set it at +.20 on the left and right, total of +.40 overall toe and its been chewing up my tires. They way shady and tried to sell me tires right now. I walked out and gonna take it to a better place I was just recommended to.

Default camber

I talked with my guy about it, and the 4 wheel alignment is $100 and he said he would charge me another $50 to move everything else around. probably use a pry bar or axe handle to move it trial and error until he gets it right. I'm sure Audi has something to do it for $$$$$$$.

Default Request Link to S4 B5 Alignment PDF

I'd appreciate a link to the Alignment PDF mentioned by Metalman on this thread on 6/8/2012. Thanks.

It's in the Bentley manual, which can be found online if you search carefully, or you can buy it.
