Hey guys thought Id give yah another update I got pics coming when ever my lady friend out east scans em and emails them to me which might be a little while due to the unpredictable nature of females.

Yah the trip went pretty good except for one serious problem I tell yah about....but I got 45.5 MPGs on the trip not bad eh?... especialy considering that small 120 mph excursion I had in PA with some ******* in an eclipse.....I always race eclipses that have blue smoke coming out the tail pipemakes me feel good!

Yeah so I got all they way to chicago from syracuse and I noticed the car was acting a little funny not really that bad but noticeable after about 36 hoursin the sadle in a week...Then I start smelling gasoline really bad (like holy s**t my eyes are burning and I wanna puke) bad..

So I drove for a while to get out of the middle of chicago and off the skyway which on the westbound lane is down to 3/4 of a lane due to constuction and about this time it started raining like a motorscooter. So I finaly stop wit the engine runing get out and look wit my flashlight (night time) and immeadiately see the problem....my return fuel line was was having serious issues with gas retention in fact it wasnt retaining any just kinda pissing iton my turbo.......

so yeah Ive been on the road 10hours about now and maybe normaly I would have relized the implications of allthis incoming stimuli....But at the time I just kinda said "oooh that sucks"

It was about this point that the gasoline ignited only then spuring me into action after shutting the engine down the fire died down pretty quick (Thank god for the freak rainstorm) and the fact that theres not much around the turbo to burn.

When I left I brought most of my tools with me "just in case" I even caught some smack talk from a friend in NY who was like what are you doin wit 200lbs of tools in there. Granted all I used was a razor knife to trim the really bad part of hose and a flexy 1/8 inch socket driver to tighten the hose clamp....but you neva know what youll need in the middle of nowhere right?

anyways to make along story longer....I limped home still leaking a decent amount of petro the last 200miles...

holy crap, man. You actually caught on fire? First thing I thought of when I read "my return fuel line was was having serious issues with gas retention in fact it wasnt retaining any just kinda pissing it on my turbo......." was that he's lucky it never went up in flames!
