^^^^I don't think he has replaced the fuel pump, just the filter. What i was thinking was the pump is drawing too much current blowing the fuse because of load on the pump in 5th, but i want him to learn how to diagnose things before he "shotguns" his way thru life. He needs to get his hands on a vag com and a good quality DVOM.

 

ok.. wtf is dvom? and i dont have 300 to throw at a vag com then have to buy the replacement parts afterwards lol

but its bank 1 and 2 sensor 1 and the no packet flow is b1s1... ill see if me "piece of junk scanner" has the codes stored in there still lol

nothing on the "piece of junk" lol.... next time the CEL comes up ill make sure to get the code numbers.. but its been off for the last week or 2

 

DVOM (digital volts ohms meter) is used to check for continuity of power through the circuit.

At a time I couldn't afford Rosstech's VAG com either but the $15 Ebay cable got me along fine. If you play with the settings between the software and your computer you can get every readout like the original. A friend of mine even got it to log. IDK how but I'm sure just the base version will get you by most problems.

 

well i tried ordering the cheap one through ebay TWICE... both times it never showed up and i had to fight for a couple weeks to get my money back.. and that was through 2 different sellers... which is one of the reason i dont use ebay anymore
