detailing
I just spent 3.5 hours detailing my A4 yesterday and the sight of the interior door trim chaps my **** b/c it looks soo bad.
To respond to some of the questions:
I read in another forum that the SEM Color Coat paint is recommended for repainting interior trim.
I sent off for a SEM Color Coat chip card.
You can do it here: http://semproducts.com/RequestLiterature.asp
Once I get the card I'll decide whether to try and match the Ecru trim color (which is what you have Alex).
Otherwise I may go with a black to match the lower part of the door.
I contacted Shokan this am and they said that the trim is never in great condition used and recommended buying it new.
So if you don't want to paint what you have then you can call a local body shop and they can order factory replacement parts for you. My local body shop said that these trim parts are available only through Audi.
I've got a call in to my body shop about the price. Once I hear back I'll post it.

SEM is great stuff. I used it on my B and C pillars, oh-sh*t handles, and visors (satin black), as well as my seats (warm gray) for a two-tone effect. The thread concerning our Audi get together Saturday has a pic of my interior through the windshield. It'll at least give you an idea of how SEM can look. I'm a believer. Here's the thread - scroll down and you'll find pics.

You don't even really need to paint it... from that picture it looks as if the plastic underneath the soft touch junk is in good condition. Just take an sos pad or something and scrub it all off, leaving you with clean plastic underneath.
