Hi guys.

My B5 has a 1.6 engine and after a VAG-COM log I saw that the intake air temperature is constant and it's value is 19.5. I understand that this value is the default value for when the sensor is out but I don't get an error code for the sensor. From the information that I found on the web I can say that for turbo cars this sensor is useful but I didn't find any reference for non-turbo cars. Maybe someone can give me a hand by telling me if I have the sensor or no.

Come on, nobody has access to a picture with the sensors for my engine? I ordered the sensor and it's arriving today but I have no clue on where to find it, I searched the intake a thousand times

 

You might be better off in the regional forums for Canada/Europe/etc, since this forum is almost exclusively US members and we never got the 1.6L engine.

 

A picture with the IAT sensor on a 1.8 engine would be ok also, I can get an idea on the place to search.

 

If there is one it should be between the airbox and throttle body somewhere.
