Default Installing a boost gauge and mbc?

is there a thread on how to install a manual boost control? and also and boost guauge? or can someone tell me what hoses to connect what to and basically everything there is to know about doin this. i got the mbc and the boost guage so i just need a little dyi and i cant find anything in the search.. thank you and o yea its a 99 a4 1.8t it has no mods done to it currently

i wouldn't do the mbc if you haven't done tuning.... don't turn the boost up is what i mean


for a diy, check audidiy.com, but if you tap into the hose coming off you fpr you can run through the gromit there, then the gromit that the engine harnes goes through

how do i run the mbc? my friend is doin this all for me. i have the boost guage exactly t-d off the wire the guy did in his picture on here but it wont move the guage and all and when i unplug in from the guage theres suction on the hose... any help would be appreciated

Theres supposed to be suction, there is vacuum instead of pressure when you arent boosting, if your gauge shows boost only and not vac then there shouldnt be a reading until you give it some gas while your driving. And are you tuned, do you have a chip etc?? if you dont you cant use a mbc.

cincytt did a complete write up on mbc, boost gauge, and diode mod so you can use the mbc until you get a chip or go bt its in the DIY section. And if your boost gauge doesnt show vac and only press...get one that does.

damnn alright wht do i have to mod in order to put in this dumb mbc? also my major question how do i hook the mbc up to the wastegate and stuff i got the guage workin it says im boosting at like 5-6 psi..

i put the mbc in place of the thing called the n75 valve and it works great i set it to 10psi.. is this too much?

okk then what do you suggest i do so i can run 10psi?? i dont lke when it only runs 4psi it has no ***** what so ever its annoying..

get a tune, look in the classifieds you can get speed tuning for uber cheap, or k0mpressed on az tunes cars.... giac apr uni... i would stay away from nuspeed
