Installed Gpop K04... found water in an interesting spot....
Hey guys,
About 3 weeks ago I posted about a bent fin on my K04. Last night we swapped in a brand new gpop K04 and found something interesting. There was some water and what looked like some dried up carbon buildup in the tube that connects to the nj75 valve.. (tube that runs along the top of the engine to the nj75).
Any idea how that got there? We cleaned it out and put it all back together..
I wonder if a drop of water could have leaked through the valve and into my turbo while I was during boost, I heard all it would take is a drop of water that hits your turbo when its spinning at 100k+ rpm.
BTW, old K04 (10 months) will be going for sale soon for someone that wants to swap out the compressor wheel.
Thanks,
Michael

there was water in your TIP? its the hose that connects the intake to the turbo where the n75 sits in. sure that didn't happen afterwards? if there was water in there it woulda all got sucked into the turbo, it wouldn't just sit in the TIP.
