Default Info on Coilovers

I posted a similar thread over in suspension and thought it would better to post it here instead. Anyways, I was looking at getting some ST coilovers for my B5 Avant. I was wondering if it would be possible to run these and still get my alignment back within reasonable specs? I'm not looking to slam my car, maybe go with a 1" drop all around. My main concern is the longevity of my tires. I don't really wanna go through a set of tires every six months. So if anyone who's running STs or just coils in general could give me so info on this it would be greatly appreciated.

Camber shouldnt be too bad only being lowered an inch. The killer is the combo of negative camber and incorrect toe. These two together will eat tires.

If you have your toe within spec you should be OK.

I have some coilovers in my E36 that I've bought at fmwtuning.de and I think they're JOM coilovers. They have not camber adjustment, but you can order some camberplates too. I think jom coilovers are around 200 pounds.

Jom is german made, and they don't drop a lot, around 1-2".

Yeah, as long I'm not running stupid negative camber and toe is good, I should be fine? AWD cars are supposed to run a little bit of negative camber anyway, correct?

ST's are pretty popular for B5's from what I've seen, you should be happy with them. As Jason said, you shouldn't have any issues eating tires with a modest drop like that. The camber might be out of spec but it won't hurt anything unless your toe is way out.
