Default I'm new and need advice :)

I bought An Audi a4 1.8 2000 "not turbo" 2 months ago and i would like to ask somethings.

there is missing pixels in the small lcd in the dashboard, sometimes it is better and sometimes it is worse. Can it easily be fixed or i have to replace it?

The other thing is in the picture, i think it is something with the AC,
after i close my car i can hear some air leaking noise from that small pipe. It will do that for 0.5-1 minutes then stop. Is that normal?

You can see more from the pictures:

Thank you so much!!

Those missing pixels are common problems for our cars. You either go to the dealer and they'll replace your entire gauge or have the screen rebuilt for around $200.

The hissing noise is normal at that spot after you kill the engine with the AC on. It's all internal noise. I mean it is possible to have a leak on the high/low AC lines in that area, but I've never heard of it happening.

I think i can live with the missing lcd pixels. I'll not pay 200$ to fix it ^^
I'll check the noise tomorrow and see if i can feel any leak but hopefully it is internal.

It is normal for Audi's to have high engagement clutch? and high motor sound?

Sorry i'm abit noob with cars but i'm trying to learn
Thank you all for the help.

I personaly think the lifter/injector pulse noise from any 4 cyl. VW product is naturaly noiser than most other cars. Unless it's your trip meter, it looks like you have 2xx,xxx miles? Post a video clip with sound of the engine if you are worried.

I know that when I had my '99.5 1.8TQM it was WAY quieter than my '97 1.8TQA at highway speeds.

My '97 is quite loud inside... maybe they insulated differently in the facelift models... I know what he's talking about, and I think it's normal to be loud; especially since his is one of the earliest A4s out there.
