Cool I'm new to A4's and have a few questions..

Today I bought an 01 A4 1.8T, not a quattro unfortunately.. As I noticed while test driving, the LCD display is out..my question not is how to replace it (i've seen the threads), but what does it say? All I can get out of it is the temperature, a 'break light out message', and can see something else underneath that. What does it say? Looks like some kind of odometer but I can't tell..

Also, as for upping it, which should me my first move.. intake? chip? BOV? exhaust?

Any help, suggestions, or words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
Mike

The lcd display shows info like mpg, trip time, radio station, and other stuff. You can toggle through with the button on the end of the windshield wiper stalk, or turn the disply on/off with the button on the bottom of the stalk. If your pixels are really bad, just turning it off will make it look more clean.
Chip and exhaust would be a good start. If you ever decide to go for huge power you can sell your chipped ecu and make most of your money back. The stock airbox is not restrictive at all for the stock turbo, even if chipped. Most people put on an intake just for the sound, same with BOV's. Read the faq sticky and search on terms like BOV and see what you find. There is lots to find on all subjects.
