Default idle problem/stalling

ok so yesterday i noticed that on my KnN filter, the pipes werent tightened well and it was sucking air through diffrent spots, so i tightened everything, and i can feel more power pushed into the car now, BUT, now my car would randomly loose power and i have to turn off and start the car again. what happens is it kind of feels like an engine misfire, the rpm starts bouncing on idle, and when i try to press the gas i can hear the air sucking in but no power, it stutters and it wont raise above 1.5-2k rpm.

NOTE, before i tightened the intake pipes and everything, it would sort of stutter until the rpms go above 1.3k, after i tightened them it stoped, but the above problem started.

its a KnN filter with latex tubing, fuel pressure regulator, and i got magnaflow catalycs and full exhaust.

What do you think the problems could be? air fuel mixture cuz of the regulator? maf is going? i heard the pcv valve might be dirty?

Any help would be apreciated, i love this car and i do have the money to upkeep it. i just dont want to change random parts, thanks in advance. i will make a video in the next couple of days to show exactly what happens.

anyone? i noticed i need to change my spark and wires cuz 3 of them barely work, but i doubt thats the problem, it seems like an intake problem.

i forgot to mention that i do have a bored Maf.

i had a similar problem on my b5. It would stall out when in idle and the rpms would be around 300-500 or so. I took to a guy and he said he 'flushed' out all the hoses n whatnot and it never had the problem again.

Same identical problem here. Started yesterday out of the blue :-/

Couple of issues could be causing it.

The coils sit atop the spark plugs and if they wear out or short out it can cause the problems we're having.

I was also told that oil residue or something could be in the sparkplug area.

I'm gonna take it all apart and clean everything this weekend and hopefully narrow it down.

actually i think i just figured out my problem, as well as changing the sparks and wires tomorrow, i will also change my MAF. i asked the guy that i got the car from and he said that after boring/porting the MAF he never recalibrated the computer, so im basically loosing power and the computer is getting confused and has no idea whats going on with the fuel/air mixture, and that is what im guessing is throwing me an EGR code too. ill let u guys know tomorrow night or sunday after some testing to see if that was the problem.
