I went back to AutoZone and had 7 codes, need some advice, but misfire might be cured
#31
Now, after moving injector from #3 to #1, I drove around a little bit and the misfire was gone, but it comes and goes anyway. I stopped back at the parts store before they closed and used their scanner and this time it came up with 3 codes, this time there were TWO P1300 codes and the P0303 for misfire in #3. Now, I think the misfire in #3 had been stored, because it was running fine at that time, except for the idle problem. But, why would it have TWO of the P1300 codes now? Could that be because I switched the injectors around? I cleared the codes. Then after I left the store and drove home, it started misfiring again and the CEL came back on, but the store was just closing as I left, so I'll have to go back in the morning to see which cylinder is misfiring now.
I also picked up a can of Seafoam for the heck of it, because it sounds like people have had luck with it here.

Seafoam is the ****, but it won't cure a broken injector, just help clean a dirty one a little. Search for the procedure, it's pretty easy. Since you only got 1 can, I would go with half in a half full gas tank, and the other half in the intake mani.

I put the whole can in my tank, it was about 2/3 full, so we'll see what happens. I didn't think it would help with the injector with the broken piece on the end, I thought I'd give it a shot anyways because it sounds like other people here on the forum have had good luck with it for general engine care.
Now I'm just waiting to go back to the parts store in the morning to rescan the car, I'm hoping that the misfire moved to cyl #1 where I relocated the injector from cyl #3 which had the misfire. If not, its back to the drawing board! If it did move to #1, then its just a matter of getting my hands on a new injector, Advance Auto doesn't stock them, so I'm gonna do a search for other foreign parts stores near me, I'll call the stealership for kicks but I bet they want $200 for one! Other than that, I'll just have to order one and have it shipped to me.

Went back this morning, still misfiring in #3-DAMN! So, I'm just going to take it to a local indy Audi mechanic I found to have him try to diagnose it. I'll tell you what he comes up with, thanks for all of the help!

That's hooked into engine vacuum, if it's faulty it will suck atmosphere if i'm not mistaken. Which can easily cause all your problems.

Car has been running fine except for idle problems since Seafoam
Like I mentioned, I did run a can of Seafoam through the tank a few days ago. The first 50 miles or so, it was still misfiring, running rough. Then the misfire went away again, but it has yet to come back and I've put about 200 miles on the car since putting in the Seafoam. It still dies at idle, but the misfire has been gone longer than ever. I'm going to try to find the suction pump now and check that out next, thanks!

DAMN! Misfire came back and can't find that darn suction pump!
The misfire came back again, it went away after a while, but I'm sure it will be back again. I've been looking for that suction pump part and I can't find it anywhere! Does anyone know where it should be on a 99.5 1.8T?
