I think Audi forgot something at the factory

This only came up once,since I've owned,Audina.
I was getting off work, really early in the morning,i turned on my rear and front fogs, being it was dusk outside.
I came to a stop sign, not knowing there was a police car behind me,he pulled up along side me and asked"did you know, you have a brake light out?"
I was caught off guard as i didn't expect a cop to point it out,so i just went with it and said"oh,i didn't know, thanks for telling me".
I knew it was the one fog light, that he thought was my brake light. I just shrugged and drove home. I rarely use my rear fog light, even in heavy fog,i just turn on the fronts, because i don't want to get pulled over and be given a ticket for a broken tail light.
I am one of those guys, that turns on my fog lights, with my day time, running lights,i like the way my Aqua blue HID's look in the day and night.

When I read the owner's manual right after I got my Audi, about the "rear fog light", the first thing that went thru my head was WTF? This is a sure-fire way to get pulled over by a cop around here... I've worked for the local police dept (network & systems admin) for 15 years, and I bet less than 1% of our officers have ever heard of a rear fog light (heck, I didn't even know until I got this car), and would pull someone over in a heartbeat for driving down the road at night with the left rear taillight shining brightly at the top while the right side wasn't.

No,I haven't done the rear fog light mod,it's not that serious. I don't use it enough,to warrant doing it. My front fogs are enough and I know I can use my front fogs, while my one rear fog light is off.

lol i felt the same way when i first got my audi... i was like wait wtf? but then i read the owners manual and it said that rear fogs are only on the driver side tail light and not the passenger so the factory did a passenger fog light delete on that one. what i did was take out the driver side rear fog bulb so i dont have to worry about any rear fogs... and besides i never need to use rear fogs cuz it doesnt get foggy where i live... only when i drive to the hills :3
