I take top HONERS in being IDIOT of the YEAR!! Now can you help me??
Ok So I went to chnage out my oil, I lifted up the car for the first time saw a pan and pulled the 8mm Socket Head screw out and let it all drain... NOT KNOWING IT WAS THE TRANNY FLUID.!! THEN I pourd more oil into the engine (thinking HEY I JUST DRAINED IT ALL OUT!!) and started it and checked it NOTICED the fluid was WELL past the indicator mark on the stick but thought HEY it will go down right?? WELL NO! I drove off and then my car was not wanting to shift in Auto so I flipped it to Tip-Tronic and then that started going out finally after like maybe 1 mile of driving, finally it was only shifting once i hit about 3000 RPM and even then it was gimping along. I took at back home and figured out what I did worng.... FML So tell me ANYONE How do I A. Get the fluid BACK In, and B. Did I blow my tranny?? Also I did find the ACTUAL Oil Drain plug and did get the oil back to the Correct Level .... FML

Wow, you really did 'f' this one up. CCA4, definite facepalm for this one! I have no idea how to put the fluid back in your auto trans, because I have a stick. But, I would say you are extremely lucky if you didn't kill your trans... definitely don't move the car again until you get your trans fluid back in there.
Usually you can save some good bucks with DIY maintenance... sometimes it can cost you...

I have a manual too, but I googled it for you, it seems it is possible, here's a good write up for a 2001 tiptronic auto....
