I am gonna flip the **** out.

replacement head bolts haven't the same pattern on the head as the originals. looks likea big *** torx. idfk. the originals were poly drive and i have no idea what these replacements are now. i think i might just got drop my ******* car on my head and be done with this ****. ****.


someone please tell me what these might be. im losing my mind, and all my money.

old style vs old style. is a 10mm ezn (sp) ecs has the tool you can also buy an 1/2 in and use the "oem" brand part from autozone.

sounds like the new ones are triple square. They look like torx but if you try to use a torx bit on them you'll be more pissed off than you are now.

CCA4 is probably right. Old ones are poly drive and new ones are triple square, sucks. Who did you get them from, I'd see if they would take them back and give you the right ones.

got em from parts geek. their return policy is ****** bullshit. hope my language isnt hurting anyone btw. triple square eh?

anybody reckon i could find this locally? ie... autozone, advance, napa, oreilly, pepboys, sears...etc

I've never seen any locally near me. Maybe try NAPA or AutoZone or Advance just for ***** and gigs?

If you need them right away you might as well walk into a Audi/VW dealer.

If you have time, I could see if one of my suppliers has a full set that have the poly head and have them ship them out USPS priority mail or Express mail.

napa would be the best bet.... but might try your audi dealer see if one of the techs can sell you theirs or buy you a set when the snap-on guy comes by


tell him you'll give he a few extra bones


or worst case see if one of the guys could come do it as a side job for a few bones

just checked into it furthur, it seems the old head bolts are triple square, and the replacements are poly drive. there also seems to be no god.
