How stupid would it be not to buy this?
So I've been scorning craiglist for the "the one" a4 for me for the last couple weeks. My price range is 4000-ish and I reaky want the 2.8 and have it manual.
And today I stumbled on this:
http://flint.craigslist.org/ctd/2155196147.html
I emailed the lady and got this:
Hello,
My name is Gertsen Nicole . Thanks for being interested in buying my 1998 Audi A4 4DR SDN 1.8L . The car is in perfect condition , with no need for additional repairs, no scratches, dings, special marks whatsoever, never been involved in any accidents . It has 109,182 miles , automatic transmission , 4 - Cyl engine size , Silver exterior . I have a clear and clean title for it , no liens or loans ready to be signed and notarized on your name ... The price is $1,750.00 if you want to buy it today or tomorrow.
I'm selling my son's car , who died in Iraq two months ago and I want to get rid of it asap because the sight of it makes me think of him often and often and the pain is too great . Put yourself in my shoes and you'll do the same (selling the car of your dead son, no offense)
Here are the pictures with the car:

I can provide VIN # to check on your own, also I can send you more details too . Just let me know if you are still interested and where are you located .
Thank you,
Nicole
If she's for real (as rude as it sounds to be skeptical, I still have to make sure it's legit and not a scam) this seems like the deal that would be stupid to pass up. What do you guys think?

I'd make sure to see the car is person first. It's odd that there's no plates and it's not in front of their house. If they ask for any sort of cash prior, I'd be very skeptical.
Ask to see it in person.

Typical Craig's list scam. Make an offer to come and see the car and they will run and hide. She will ask that the transaction go through e-bay and that is your clue of complete scam. If the price is too good to be true it usually is.

Yeah. Here's the problem: It's in Flint Michigan. I live in Cleveland, Ohio. And yes the photos do look pretty professional some a mom. And you can tell the car's been detailed. But the problem is the car is four hours away. So if I go to check it out and its not for real, I'm screwed. And if it is, I have to buy it, because I just drove four hours for this.
Personally, the reply email seems a bit too formal. In my experience with craigslist, reply emails usually don't have introductions either.
